Can you give a couple of hours every two weeks?

Children and young people in care often feel isolated and need support. An Independent Visitor is an adult befriender, there to offer guidance, support, a listening ear and to have fun with a child in care.

Think of the confidence you could give to a young person when they know you freely give up your spare time just for them. To be someone to chat to, trust, offer guidance and have a belief in them. Are you that person to have fun with, watch footie, go fishing and just being there?  Go on see what you can do to make a difference!

Through volunteering you will be offered training, support and guidance from us. This can open opportunities to employment. You will meet other volunteers.  Have new experiences. Acquire skills you never thought you had.

A new challenge, are you up for it?

Our service works with children and young people from Rochdale so we would like volunteers from the Rochdale and Greater Manchester area.

Applications particularly welcome from male volunteers, who are underrepresented within our organisation.  For further information about these volunteering opportunities, please contact Julie Long on 01706 925 354
