One of the aims of Friends of Summit and Calderbrook is to bring you footage from archives showing the Summit Brickworks when it was in use.

Facts and Figures about the foundry, and memories from local families who worked or had relatives working at the site.

We also want to improve walkways around the quarry so you can see for yourself this important historical and nostalgic part of the past history of this stunning area.

There are so many parts of our landscape that simply go unseen, we are here to inform you of these places of interest, organised walks, community events and generally keep you up to date with what is going on in your area.

For those who are unable to manage some of the more difficult terrain, we will have 'virtual walks' where through photographs you will be able to enjoy the scenery by logging on to the site
